The proton pump inhibitor omeprazol (1) -dimethyl-2-pyridyl)methyl]suf
i-nyl}benzimidazole) is available in the pharmaceutical market as ente
ric coated capsules and dry ampules. With the aid of DPP the content o
f these formulations can be determined due to the regulations of the G
erman pharmacopoeia DAB 1996 (V.5.2) ''Gleichformigkeit einzeldosierte
r Arzneiformen'' very quick and with high accuracy. Validation of this
new method could be done by HPLC. No disturbance of the current-volta
ge curves by the excipients could be observed in spite of the relation
between 1 to excipients as 1:10 reap. 1:20. Also pantoprazol and lans
oprazol are determinable in their formulations by DPP.
