The vortex liquid in highly oriented melt-textured YBa2Cu3O7:Y2BaCuO5
(123:211) with H parallel to c up to 10 Tesla is investigated through
in-plane and out-of-plane transport measurements. A reduced c-axis vor
tex correlation with respect to the single crystal case is detected in
pseudo-flux-transformer experiments. Results an interpreted on the ba
sis of the effects of the competing consequences of correlated disorde
r due to twin boundaries and non-correlated disorder provided by the r
andomly distributed sub-micrometric 211 phase in the 123 matrix. (C) 1
