A breakdown of the Local Lorentz Invariance and hence the special theo
ry of relativity in the Kaon system can, in principle, induce oscillat
ions between K-0 and (K) over bar(0). We construct a general formulati
on in which simultaneous pairwise diagonalization of mass, velocity or
weak eigenstates is not assumed and the maximum attainable velocities
of K-0 and (K-0) over bar are different. This mechanism permits Local
Lorentz Invariance violation in a manner that need not violate CPT co
nservation. We show that such a CPT-conserved violation of special rel
ativity could be clearly tested experimentally through the energy depe
ndence of the K-L - K-S mass difference and discuss constraints impose
d by present experiments. (C) 1998 Published by Elsevier Science B.V.
