Abstract
The purpose of this article is to describe the development and applica tion of the Career Transition Inventory (CTI; Heppner, 1991). The CTI is designed to assess psychological resources, or conversely barriers, that adults may experience during a career transition. This article d iscusses the CTI scale construction, including its theoretical base, f actor analysis, reliability, and validity estimates. In addition, info rmation is provided on how to interpret the various scales to adults i n career transition.
