Abstract
The Career Decision Profile (CDP) is useful in career counseling. The CDP was developed from a three-dimensional model of career decision st atus (Decidedness, Comfort, and Reasons), and data on the validity and reliability for its six scales are provided. The CDP can be used by c ounselors to (a) explore clients' career indecision, (b) screen for re adiness, (c) determine the appropriate level of career services needed , and (d) evaluate counseling outcomes. We conclude with a description of the results from a survey of counselors who have used the CDP in c areer counseling.
