X. Lu et Ys. Zhang, THE EFFECT OF CHROMIUM CONTENT ON THE VARIOUS MAGNETIC, ELECTRICAL AND MECHANICAL-PROPERTIES OF FEMNAL ALLOYS, Journal of physics. D, Applied physics, 31(7), 1998, pp. 884-888
FeMnAl allays with different Cr contents have been investigated with r
egard to susceptibility (chi), resistivity (rho), Young's modulus (E),
strain sensitivity coefficient of resistance (K) and the stress sensi
tivity coefficient of resistance (B). The results show that Cr linearl
y reduces the Neel temperature (T-N) and the minimum resistivity tempe
rature (T-min), but T-N - T-min for each alloy is practically independ
ent of Cr content (21-25 K), Cr increases the Young's modulus below T-
min, reduces the modulus softening due to the paramagnetic-antiferroma
gnetic transition, and tends to reduce the Young's modulus (E) above T
-N. Gr reduces the strain sensitivity coefficient of resistance (K) an
d the stress sensitivity coefficient of resistance (B), but it has lit
tle influence, on the B anomaly caused by the paramagnetic-antiferroma
gnetic transition.
