Abstract
Crystalline films of alpha(t)-(BEDT-TTF)(2)I-3 were produced by anneal ing amorphous films of (BEDT-TTF)(2)I-3 in an I-2 gas atmosphere of 90 degrees C. The I-2 atmosphere was used in order to reduce the loss of iodine in the films, which has been a major problem so far. Low field microwave absorption shows an onset of superconductivity around 8 K p roviding the success of this new technique. (C) 1998 Elsevier Science Ltd. All rights reserved.
