Abstract
Background: Congenital cervical spinal cord injury usually is attribut ed to intrapartum mechanical trauma. Case: A fetal cervical spinal cor d hemorrhage presented as congenital isolated upper extremity (''cruci ate'') paralysis and muscle atrophy after an atraumatic delivery. Time ly neonatal diagnosis and surgery resulted in complete recovery. Concl usion: Paralysis may result from atraumatic spinal cord injuries occur ring in the antepartum period.
