Background: Pelvic masses requiring surgical evaluation have many diff
erent causes. Case: In an unusual case, a pelvic mass was found to com
prise approximately 40 gallstones. Laparoscopy was performed, and the
gallstones were removed easily. Conclusion: Nongynecologic causes shou
ld be considered in the differential diagnosis of pelvic masses. (C) 1
