Abstract
The partition coefficients of hydroxyoxime extractants can be estimate d by treating extractants as hydrophobic surfactants and combining the linear solvation energy relationships with a hydrophile lipophile app roach. The derived equations are statistically valid and can be used t o predict and/or verify the partition coefficients in systems containi ng aliphatic or aromatic diluents. (C) 1998 Elsevier Science B.V.
