Abstract
We derive the basic equations of nonlocal Josephson electrodynamics, v alid for any ratios of the characteristic scale of phase-difference va riations and junction thickness. The spectrum of generalized Swihart w aves is obtained. We also study the effect of finite surface resistanc e of the superconducting electrodes on the dynamics of vortex structur es characteristic of nonlocal electrodynamics.
