Abstract
We analyze the possibility of resonant optical radiation inducing evap oration and condensation growth of aerosol particles suspended in a va por-gas mixture. The molecules of the vapor absorb radiation selective ly as to velocity. We examine the Knudsen regime, in which the particl e radius is much smaller than the mean free path of the molecules.
