Abstract
This article is an analytical review of studies of process combustion in pressings made from mixtures of exothermic metal powders. We establ ish the macrokinetic features of combustion of mixtures with nonstoich iometric composition as well as the factors accelerating sintering of the pressings with an exothermic reaction. We suggest thermophysical m odels for consolidation during combustion of a system of metal powders with nonstoichiometric composition.
