Abstract
Four compounds, stigmasterol, stigmasterol-beta-D-glucopyranoside, lut eolin-7-0-glucopyranoside and dotriacontanoic acid isolated from Verno nia cinerea have shown significant antifeedant activity based on perce nt feeding-deterrence and effective doses (ED50) against two lepidopte rous insects, Spodoptera litura and Spilosoma obliqua.
