Abstract
The antiinflammatory effects of lycorine and haemanthidine which were isolated from Sternbergia clusiana (Ker-Gawl.) Ker-Gawl ex Sprengel gr owing in Turkey were evaluated in mice by the carrageenan-induced oede ma test. Antiinflammatory activities of lycorine and haemanthidine wer e higher than that of indomethacin. (C) 1998 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.
