Abstract
A mathematical model for endothelial cell migration during tumour-indu ced angiogenesis is presented. A possible explanation, in terms of des ensitisation of cell-surface receptors, is given for the experimentall y observed fact that without cell proliferation tumour vascularisation is never achieved.
