In. Shabanova et al., X-RAY PHOTOELECTRON STUDY OF THE ELECTRONIC-STRUCTURE OF Y-BA-CU-O HTSC THIN-FILMS IN DEPENDENCE ON THEIR COMPOSITION AND TEMPERATURE, Journal of electron spectroscopy and related phenomena, 88, 1998, pp. 485-488
The core level X-ray photoelectron spectra and the valence band X-ray
photoelectron spectra of the high-temperature superconductor (HTSC) YB
a2CU3O7-x are studied in dependence on the temperature of the sample a
nd the oxygen content. Three charge states of copper atoms are shown t
o exist in the system: Cu1+, Cu2+, and Cu3+, but only the Cu2+-state p
lays the main role in the transition of system to the superconductive
state. (C) 1998 Elsevier Science B.V.
