Abstract
The thermal effects in the X-ray photoelectron diffraction (XPD) spect ra are studied for strongly anharmonic systems such as double-well pot ential and Morse potential. The theoretical approach based on finite t emperature path integral is extensively used to closely compare the pr esent results with other results predicted by the classical and the cu mulant approximations.
