Abstract
A new method for the synthesis of formyltetrathiafulvalene vinylogs in which tetrathiafulvalene (TTF) or a substituted derivative of TTF is metalated with lithium diisopropylamide and then reacted with a vinylo gous amide to yield the corresponding short polyenals in a one-pot pro cess is described.
