Abstract
The use of ultrasound to evaluate mammographically detected breast les ions has increased dramatically in recent years. This increase is dire ctly related to the availability of high-frequency linear-array transd ucers and computer-enhanced image capabilities of ultrasound equipment . This article reviews the current status of diagnostic and interventi onal ultrasound of the breast, with particular attention to indication s, techniques, and limitations.
