RADIOLYSIS - AN EFFICIENT METHOD OF STUDY ING RADICAL ANTIOXIDANT MECHANISMS

The use of the radiolysis method for studying radicalar antioxidant me chanisms offers the different following possibilities: 1- quantitative evaluation of antioxidant activity of molecules soluble in aqueous or non aqueous media (oxidation yields, molecular mechanisms, rate const ants), 2- evaluation of the yield of prevention towards polyunsaturate d fatty acids peroxidation, 3- evaluation of antioxidant activity towa rds biological systems such as liposomes or low density lipoproteine ( LDL), 4- simple comparison in different model systems of drags effect versus natural antioxidants.
