Abstract
Roots of Nepenthes thorelii yielded plumbagin, 2-methylnaphthazarin, o ctadecyl caffeate, isoshinanolone, and droserone. In addition, seven d erivatives were prepared from plumbagin. Each of these natural and sem isynthetic compounds was evaluated for in vitro antimalarial potential .
