Abstract
Magnetic ultrathin Langmuir-Blodgett films containing rare earths are investigated. Electron paramagnetic resonance measurements suggest the possible existence of a transition from a paramagnetic to a magnetica lly ordered state. In Langmuir-Blodgett films with one hundred layers of Gd, a transition takes place at T-0 approximate to 490 K.
