Abstract
Two new isoflavonols (1, 2) with insect antifeedant activity have been isolated from the trifoliates of Trifolium subterraneum (Leguminosae) . The structures of the compounds were determined by spectroscopic ana lyses. In addition, oct-1-en-3-yl arabinopyranosyl-(1-->6)-beta-glucop yranoside (3), a new metabolite, and phaselic acid (4), previously obt ained from Trifolium repens, were isolated and characterized.
