Abstract
The School of Biochemistry, La Trobe University embarked on a signific ant project in 1997 that had two main aims: (1) To provide relevant, u p to date information useful to biology students focusing particularly on the CATs (Common Assessment Tasks) that form part of the final yea r of High School in Victoria (2) To raise the profile of the School of Biochemistry and to establish, in the minds of potential students, th e School's high reputation. To achieve these aims, we employed a very experienced high school biology teacher and made use of existing infra structure and skills. The result is a major Web site that provides a s ignificant proportion of the information needed to produce the Year 12 Biology CATS. The site has been visited by a large number of individu als, many of whom have provided very positive feedback. (C) 1998 Publi shed by Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
