Abstract
A brief review on the naphthoquinones and their analogs isolated from different Plumbago species (Plumbaginaceae) is presented. An up-to-dat e list of naphthoquinones and their analogs isolated from these plants along with their physical constants and spectral data, method of isol ation, structure elucidation, synthetic studies, chemical transformati ons, biogenetic studies, and biological activities are discussed.
