Abstract
We report a case of deep rein thrombosis in a young man with idiopathi c nephrotic syndrome and resistance to activated protein C. We postula te that patients with concurrent nephrotic syndrome and factor V may h ave an increased risk of thrombosis. Screening for factor V Leiden may be indicated in patients with idiopathic nephrotic syndrome.
