Abstract
Transmission spectrum of CsDy(MoO4)(2) single crystals is measured in polarized light in the longwave IR region (10-100 cm(-1)) at low tempe ratures 6-40 K. The change in the vibrational spectrum during first-or der structural phase transition (T-c similar to 38 K) is detected expe rimentally. The vibrational spectrum of CsDy(MoO4)(2) is analyzed in t he model of ''quasi-chipped off'' vibrational modes. (C) 1998 American Institute of Physics.
