Abstract
Linear delay or advanced difference equations with variable coefficien ts and not (necessarily) constant delays or advanced arguments are con sidered, and some new oscillation and nonoscillation criteria are give n. More precisely, sufficient conditions for the oscillation of all so lutions are obtained; moreover, conditions which guarantee the existen ce of positive solutions are derived.
