Relaxational behavior of ferroelectric telluric acid ammonium phosphat
e crystals were investigated in the range 20 Hz to 1 MHz by means of l
ow field measurements of epsilon' and tan delta in the vicinity of fer
roelectric phase transitions at a number of frequencies. Results are c
ompared with those for triglycine selenate, a much ''softer'' ferroele
ctric material. The measuring field and frequency dependence of the ef
fective potential barrier height for domain wall motion are compared i
n both crystals.
