Abstract
Early gastric cancer recurrence is sometimes difficult to diagnose eve n by protocols using imaging techniques and tumor markers. We report a gastric cancer recurrence diagnosed by the appearance of a Sister Mar y Joseph's nodule that illustrates the lack of sensitivity of these me thods. We also discuss the proto col we currently follow for these pat ients.
