Hd. Nelson, ROTORDYNAMIC MODELING AND ANALYSIS PROCEDURES - A REVIEW, JSME international journal. Series C, mechanical systems, machine elements and manufacturing, 41(1), 1998, pp. 1-12
The dynamics of high speed rotating machinery, generally referred to a
s rotordynamics, was developed into an important area of specializatio
n within the general area of dynamics. This development started with t
he construction of the first waterwheels and windmills several thousan
d years ago and progressed rapidly during the past two hundred years w
ith the introduction gas turbines and other high speed rotating equipm
ent, ii review is presented of some of the modeling and analysis proce
dures that have been developed to provide a means for understanding an
d simulation of the characteristics of rotordynamic systems.
