E. Kim, LAMINAR NATURAL-CONVECTION ALONG A WAVY VERTICAL PLATE WITH UNIFORM HEAT-FLUX IN NON-NEWTONIAN FLUIDS, Journal of enhanced heat transfer, 5(2), 1998, pp. 91-99
In the steady-state laminar natural convection of power-law non-Newton
ian fluids, the surface non-uniformities on the boundary layer flow in
duced by a semi-infinite surface are investigated. A transformation me
thod is applied to study the heat transfer problem. For an example, a
sinusoidal surface is used to explain the amplitude of the wavy surfac
e effects. The results of dimensionless velocity and temperature profi
les are presented graphically for the case of constant heat flux. The
effects of Prandtl number, dimensionless amplitude of the wavy plate a
nd non-Newtonian flow index are examined in detail.
