Abstract
This paper presents a wage-bargaining model in which strikes occur due to imperfect information. The predictions are tested on a unique Iris h firm-level data set which is based on the 25th wage round. The resul ts indicate that firm size affects strike activity in the form of an i nverted U. They also indicate that strike activity is inversely relate d to strike cost.
