Abstract
The location of resin molecules at an oil-water interface was investig ated using low angle X-ray diffraction of lamellar liquid crystals as model systems. In general, the results revealed that resin molecules a re located at the interface in contrast with the hydrocarbon molecules in crude oil and also that there is a difference between the conditio ns at an interface with nonionic and ionic surfactants.
