Abstract
This article reports the results of a randomly administered interview of 1,808 Chinese American residents of San Francisco. The study examin es income, language, and citizenship status and their effect on the us e of health care services by this population. The articles discusses t he implications of the findings for low-income and uninsured individua ls, particularly people of immigrant status, and concludes with sugges tions for local health care planners and advocates.
