Abstract
The transcripts of structurally related cellobiohydrolase genes in Pha nerochaete chrysosporium-colonized wood chips were quantified. The tra nscript patterns obtained were dramatically different from the transcr ipt patterns obtained previously in defined media. Cellobiose dehydrog enase transcripts were also detected, which is consistent with the hyp othesis that such transcripts play an important role in cellulose degr adation.
