Abstract
This work considers some of the features of the chromatographic behavi or of macromolecules. It discusses the limitations of chromatography f or such substances and the neu separation mechanisms which result from the macromolecules' complex structures. A method of mobile phase sele ction for adsorption thin-laver chromatography is proposed for separat ion of homopolymers according to molecular weight (determination of ph ysical dispersity). Mobile phases far separation of poly(ethylene oxid e) and polyvinylpyrrolidone according to molecular weight are given as examples.
