Abstract
We model the impact of laser pointing fluctuations on the operation of an interferometry experiment using Bose condensates. We demonstrate h ow this noise limits the sensitivity with which such an experiment can measure phase shifts, and discuss ways of reducing its effects. (C) 1 998 Elsevier Science B.V.
