J. Bennett et al., SURGICAL-CORRECTION OF AN ACQUIRED VAGINAL STRICTURE IN A LLAMA, USING A CARBON-DIOXIDE LASER, Journal of the American Veterinary Medical Association, 212(9), 1998, pp. 1436
Vaginal stricture in llamas may develop after dystocia. Surgical repai
r can be attempted, but stricture may recur. Vaginal lesions in humans
have been excised, using carbon-dioxide lasers. Use of carbon-dioxide
lasers in llamas may result in less tissue desiccation and subsequent
adhesion formation than use of conventional surgical techniques.
