Abstract
The indolizidine framework of pumiliotoxin 251D with the appropriate f unctionalities for incorporation of the tertiary hydroxyl at the C-8 a nd the alkylidene side chain at C-6 has been accessed from L-proline b y using a 6-exo-dig radical cyclization.
