DENA-induced changes in the expression pattern of transforming growth
factor alpha and EGF receptor on the different stages of hepatocarcino
genesis in rats were investigated. As a result, an enhanced synthesis
of different molecular forms of TGF-alpha during the tumor progression
has been shown. During hepatocarcinogenesis disorders in representati
on of EGFR encoding mRNA have been detected. The expression of 5.8 kb
mRNA was enhanced significantly, and in contrast to that, 10.2 kb frag
ment, that is characteristic of liver tissue at the early stages of ca
rcinogenesis disappears in tumors.
