The attenuated strain of Venezuelan encephalomyelitis virus was shown
to cause a pronounced inhibition of Ehrlich adenocarcinoma growth in B
ALB/c mice. Direct lytic influence and complex activation of immunolog
ic rejection (tumor cell antigen modification and non-specific immunom
odulation) are the basis of antitumor effect of this virus.
