Abstract
A simple method for the preparation of 2-[(benzyloxycarbonylamino)phen ylmethyl] -1,3,2-benzodioxaphosphole 2-oxides in high yield consists o f the three-component reaction of benzyl carbamate, an aromatic aldehy de and 2-chloro-1,3,2-benzodioxaphosphole in acetyl chloride or anhydr ous benzene. Different reaction conditions have been investigated and the reaction mechanisms are suggested.
