In this article, the control of a repetitive impacting elastic link wi
th parametrically excited base in rotational motion is considered. A f
uzzy-logic controller is designed and employed to suppress the vibrati
ons resulting after the impact with an external rigid body. The moment
um balance method and an empirical coefficient of restitution is used
in the collision of the two bodies. The controller is applied successf
ully to reduce the vibrations of the parametrically excited impacting
flexible system. Simulations for several combinations of excitation an
d rotation parameters are provided.
