Abstract
The title complex, C7H10N+. C16H11O7S-. H2O, is a p-toluidinium hydrat ed salt of 2'-hydroxy-3'-methoxy-5'-flavonesulfonic acid [systematic n ame: xy-3-(4-oxo-4H-[2]benzopyran-2-yl)benzene-sulfonic acid]. The N a tom of p-toluidine is protonated to give the cation. The self-assembly of the ionic counterparts is mediated by a water molecule of hydratio n.
