Abstract
The crystal structure of trans-2,3-diiodo-2-butene-1,4-diol, C4H6I2O2, has been refined in space group I4(1)/a, using data collected at 150 K. Bond angles around the sp(2)-hybridized C atom show significant dev iations from 120 degrees.
