K. Singh et Cs. Dwivedi, ELECTROCHEMICAL FORMATION AND CORROSION STUDIES ON PHOSPHORUS-CONTAINING NICKEL-ZINC ALLOYS, INDIAN JOURNAL OF ENGINEERING AND MATERIALS SCIENCES, 5(2), 1998, pp. 72-76
Electrochemical formation of nickel-zinc electrodeposits with and with
out phosphorous inclusion has been carried out under controlled potent
iostatic and galvanostatic conditions. Impedance spectral measurements
have been used for the dermination of the polarization behaviour of t
he electrodeposits with a view to examine the dependance of corrosion
characteristics on the experimental conditions. Galvanostatic depositi
on yields preparations endowed with increased resistance towards elect
rochemical corrosion, especially when higher current density is used.
Phosphorous containing nickel-zinc deposits exhibit substantially impr
oved corrosion resistance.
