Abstract
Many HIV-infected individuals suffer from pruritic conditions that ran k highly among the most common skin diseases diagnosed in these patien ts, including eosinophilic folliculitis, eczemas, pruritic papular eru ptions, and scabies. Their management pose special diagnostic and ther apeutic challenges to our changed health care delivery environment tha t equally values cost control and quality of care. These issues are ad dressed by an algorithmic approach and review of HIV-related pruritus.
