Abstract
Marrubiin is the main active compound isolated from M. vulgare, a medi cinal plant used in folk medicine to cure several diseases. The presen t study shows that chitin, an abundant natural polymer, may be success fully in chromatography column to separate marrubiin from complex mixt ures. The experimental procedure described here represents an efficien t and rapid method to obtain such compound in high yield.
